Memorial Scholarship

Andrew Moffitt's young life was stolen from him on December 23, 1998 when he was murdered while trying to be a good Samaritan in breaking up a fight at Coyote's Restaurant.

Andrew was a computer engineering student in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa.

In memory of Andrew, the Faculty of Engineering and Andrew Moffitt's family have set up a scholarship fund. The scholarship will benefit engineering students at the University of Ottawa.

The fund, which was only created in January 1999, is now over $155,000. This is thanks to the wonderful and generous support of financial contributors from all over.

To learn more read about the scholarship in the Recorder and Times (February 6th, 1999).

Please also read a thank you from Andy's mother published in the Ottawa Citizen (April 9th, 2001).
